Royal Esplanade Hotel - Ryde (Isle of Wight)

The view from premier double room was lovely. The staff where attentive in every interaction we had.

I liked new-fashioned and warm room here.

It was in a very central location, on the Esplanade.

We stayed in a premier double room with an electric kettle, central heating and a work desk. And btw it was perfect and had very comfy beds. Our hotel was in a handy location, walk from a bus stop. There was a beach restaurant...  

The esplanade is amazing! The location is perfect for heading over to the isle of wight. Our double room was super clean, and the biscuits in the room were a lovely touch. Breakfast was wonderful, with fast service...  

Amazing sea views from the room

The bathroom had persistent plumbing issues, affecting our comfort.

The location is a major highlight, with easy access to transport links and superb views of the sea. Staff members, especially those in the dining area, provided excellent service. There were notable issues with bar service, as they ran out of common drinks, and some rooms appeared in need of urgent upgrades. Despite these shortcomings, it's easy to see the potential for a better experience in the future.

The Royal Esplanade Hotel showcases charming Victorian decor. I appreciated the accessible dining area, awesome for easy movement, made my meals comfortable and enjoyable, particularly with the lovely sea views....  

Good hotel with free wi-fi in public areas, a bar/lounge area, and friendly staff who once helped me with a bottle of water at night. I highly recommend it for a relaxing stay!

Pleasant stay with fine views

The location was perfect for exploring the area, and we appreciated the friendly service from staff. Breakfast was hearty with plenty of options, although the toast on some days could have been warmer. A fantastic experience despite a minor issue with breakfast service.

Charming, charming, charming

I enjoyed a fine sea view room that filled my heart with joy every time I looked out the window. The breakfast was a good feast, with generous portions that set me up for a day of adventure. The historical decor...  

Dishing out big salads and fresh catches was a treat, especially at nearby Harry's Bar and Brasserie. Plus, the veggie brekky got my taste buds dancing-top marks there! The staff were lovely and super helpful, a highlight...

More attentive service during breakfast would be better.

I found the Royal Esplanade Hotel quite charming during my recent stay. The sea view room offered fine vistas, while the location made it easy to navigate local sights. The Wi-Fi connection left much to be desired. A good spot for a quick trip.
